St. John's Fog Devils Community Giving Program |
Dedication, physical fitness, and education are just some of the words that come to mind when thinking of the passion and commitment displayed by the Fog Devils players in their pursuit of their hockey dreams. The St. John’s Fog Devils organization is dedicated to providing our players with the resources and support they deserve to help with their personal development both on and off the ice.
When defining the scope of the St. John’s Fog Devils Community Giving Program, it seemed appropriate to create a plan dedicated to supporting programs and services that closely match this same passion and commitment displayed by these dynamic young athletes who proudly wear the Fog Devils uniform.
The Fog Devils Community Giving Program is about supporting programs that focus on providing basic education and promoting the benefits of active living – essential components in the development of our youth in the province of Newfoundland & Labrador.
In 2007-2008, the Fog Devils will invest in programs such as The Fog Devils FunRaising Challenge, Rotary Read-a-long, School Lunch Association and many other organizations that fit within our Community Giving Program.
|
What is Community Giving? |
Community giving is the act of giving back that is a vital part of a
companies social responsibility. This can include a cash gift, product
donations, the establishment of not for profit foundations and in the case
of the Fog Devils, player appearances. Companies need to invest time and
energy to determine the best method of community giving that best suits
their goals, objectives and image, or brand.
